When summer comes round, people jump on to the exercise band wagon in the hopes that they have enough training time to get the perfectly 'ripped' body - ready for when the clothes come off and the swimming costumes go on. Unfortunately, for some of us, this is just not the case. Even if we're lucky enough to get the results we are after, by that time the sun has already gone in to hibernation until next year!

If this is the case, then what's the problem with beginning your training sessions earlier in the year and beating the summer rush to get the body of your dreams (for when it really counts)? - There are some things you need to do to prepare for training in the earlier months...

Buy a fleece and cap (for training outside)
It sounds weird, but trust me - a fleece is excellent for storing heat so you no longer have to worry about the cold. In fact, the feeling of cold air on your face when your exercising is very invigorating, you should try it at least once!

Find indoor facilities (for really wet days)
Its important to ensure that your routine doesn't faulter so make sure you have a back-up venue for when its too wet to run in the park.

Start training earlier and look forward to feeling great in summer!

'Exercise can be all year round,
not just for summer!'
