To get the best out of training sessions, your Personal Trainer will arrange a consultation (or interview) with you, to gain a true understanding of what kind of program would suit you best. Below is an idea of what's involved:

Your introduction to A-Firmative - A run through of who we are, what we do, and how we do it. This involves A-Firmative Health's policies, how we approach each individual client, and of course, gain a true understanding of why you want / need a personal trainer.

Medical History - A couple of brief questionnaires to acquire an understanding of your medical history. This is key to outlining a exercise program specifically suited to your current health levels, with the right amount of overload required to get you to where you want to be.

Lifestyle Assessment - A discussion of a typical day from your point of view. This allows us to understand how we can advise on other aspects of training outside of just exercise.

Fitness Goal-Setting - A discussion about what you want from your training sessions and more importantly, how you're going to get it.

A consultation is held in a location of your choice and lasts approximately one hour. This is a good way for our trainers to get to know you, but also for you to get to know us - and ask as many questions about the training process as needed.
